Excellent reception staff and easy check in (Ivan). Immaculately clean hotel with plenty of staff. The rooms are very well appointed and the lifts are quick and easy. There is a fabulous indoor pool, gym and steam room/sauna which was always open when we needed it, the outdoor pool has music playing at a perfect level through a decent system and definitely adds to the atmosphere. The prices are inline with other bars for drinks and food and are charged to your room if you want anything. There’s a supermarket about 100 yards away that is very good for drinks and snacks. Breakfast is excellent. Fresh food and regularly topped up. Pancakes, toast, bread, cheeses and hams, yoghurt, avocado, fruits, eggs, omelettes and juices, couldn’t really ask for more. About the area: We didn’t use the beach, we opted to sea swim from the rocks which is excellent. Leave the hotel and walk over to the tourist street then head left towards the water. There’s a lovely and very busy footpath that goes around the coast, from there you can go down many pathways to the water and hang out there for a couple of hours and sea swim. The hotel has towels that you can take out. Uber is cheap(ish) when you need it for Dubrovnik Old Town. We had fares from €7 but as much as €17 with surge prices so budget that in. Dubrovnik is very expensive (as is Croatia) and the locals talk about how costs have risen since the Euro was taken on. Drinks are your enemy if you don’t have endless funds! Cokes and Fanta etc are €4 in pretty much most places for a 25cl bottle, which is less than a can. Beers are €5-€7 and wine and cocktails are similar to UK prices. Eating out is very expensive, expect €100 for a family of 4 for a ‘normal’ meal for pasta or burgers if you add a couple of drinks on. Regarding the building work in the area, yes there is a lot. It never once bothered us at the pool though but there is a large hotel development right next to this hotel.

The hotel is about 20 minutes bus ride from Dubrovnik old city. There is a bus (No.6) that runs every 10 minutes or so to the Pile Gate. The bus stop is a short walk from the hotel. The guys on the front desk are extremely helpful, and have a good sense of humour!! The new outdoor swimming pool opened the day after we arrived. It was lovely to be able to swim in the morning before breakfast and in the afternoon after a hot day in the old city. The rest of the outdoor amenities are still under construction, but we were not disturbed by the noise. The breakfast was a good selection of hot and cold food and always refilled. The shower was one of the few that I have used that did not result in a flooded bathroom floor!!

Excellent location with wonderful view to the sea with fantastic sundowns. Lovely big room with very comfortable bed. The breakfast room was impressive with great views. The best choice of breakfast that I have ever had and good service. Delicious home made fruit juices. Friendly and very helpful staff. The outside swimming pools were lovely with numerous sun loungers and a central welcome bar serving food and refreshing drinks. The hotel is a short walk away from restaurants, cafes, shops and the beach. I would fully recommend this hotel and look forward to returning.

Staff was very nice, despite forgetting our wake up call in the morning so we could make or day trip. Room was very spacious. Did not really get cleaned every day, but fresh towels were replaced daily and beds were fluffed daily. Breakfast was positively wonderful. Very appealing and tasty. Location could not have been better. Perfect for our needs. View was wonderful. Pools were clean and refreshing despite no railings at all.

A lovely location almost next to the sea and many restaurants and a few supermarkets, an abundant breakfast we liked very much, the pool area was splendid and very clean, and it was nice to have saunas & showers in the spa premises. The cleaning ladies were always ready to help us if we missed something. It was also a very calm hotel (no party people staying there). We can warmly recommend this hotel to other travellers!
